Add ring modulation and PWM and the impressive nature of the Synthix plugin begins to really make itself plain. Initially some things in Synthix were a bit confusing to me. I rarely use a sequencer other than the one that comes with my music production application. Once recorded you can edit sequences in the display module. This one sound was really the only moment in the spotlight for Elka's Synthex synthesiser. The top half of Synthix houses the modules of a layer.

You can therefore save your presets and settings, and have access to all parametersand you can begin to work at once on professional projects. Multiple intervals are available for creating more complex rhythms. Lotuzia's sequencer-based patches, particularly, are quite inspiring. You must assign the 16 voices to each section yourself - we'd have to say that this can be a little confusing.

The factory sounds exemplify what we mean - XILS hired some of the xi,s-lab guns of the preset-design world to concoct Synthix's, and they did a terrific job at providing a demonstration of what can be done with the instrument. It has 4 voice cards synthic 2 voices each, so you basically have 8 complete mono synth circuits in one synthesizer. The arpeggiator and Unison functions are set per upper and lower section, so you can play, say, a unison bassline with your left hand, while triggering arps with your right.

You can xis-lab it to do some proper nasty stuff, especially when pushing to the extremes in combination with the overdrive. A switch lets you modulate only upper or lower keyboard ranges, or both.

Each of the five outputs has a dedicated destination menu and amount knob. Synthix is no mere rehash of the original Synthex.
